We are proud to announce that within the community of Hungarian Settlement, there is a business that offers a bit of Hungarian culture to the public. The Olde World Bakery  is located on La. Hwy 1040 (Old Baton Rouge Hwy.), just off of La. Highway 43 in Hungarian Settlement. Owned and operated by Kathleen Mocsary Green, this shop provides an interesting array of delicious baked goods. It specializes in Homemade Hungarian-style bread and pastries, but also serves some traditional goodies as well. The Old World bakery also makes and sells Hungarian sausage.

Like many Hungarian descendants of the area, Kathleen loves to prepare many of the culinary delights that she learned from her mother.

The Olde World Bakery also serves lunches, pizza, muffulettas, calzones, and a variety of other types of food.
